If Bob gets 20 apples per milk carton, how much milk carton would he have if he gets 40 apples?

Matthew is going out of town for the summer. If he is driving 50 km/h, how long will it take for Matthew to reach 250 km? 

Grace is selling school supplies. For 2 sheets of paper you get a pencil. One of her customers asked if they could buy 76 sheets of paper. How many pencils would that customer get if she buys 76 sheets of paper?

  1. the ans. for #1 is 2 milk carton, I divided 1 and 20,then multiply it by 40.
    changing ques. If Bob gets 10 apples per 2 milk carton, how much milk carton would he have if he gets 20 apples?

    1. If Bob gets 10 apples per 2 milk carton, Bob would have 4 milk cartons if he gets 20 apples. I got this answer by multiplying 10 apples and 2 milk cartons by 2 (10 apples x 2 = 20 apples and 2 milk cartons x 2 = 4 milk cartons)

  2. The answer for #2 is 5 hours. Matthew is going out of town for the summer. If he is driving 75 km/h, how long will it take for Matthew to reach 140 km?

    1. If Matthew is driving 75 km/h, it will take him 1.86 hours to reach 140 km. I used cross product to figure out the answer. I divided 75 and 140 by 75.
